Our students and young people need to be equipped with the basic skills of money before they reach
adulthood. In Personal Finance, we will review some necessary basics like calculating percentages, discounts,
and simple and compound interest. We will master basic skills like writing a check, balancing a checkbook, and
reading bank and credit card statements. We will investigate more sophisticated concepts like budgeting,
college loans, insurance, wills and estate planning, and the stock market. Material will be presented in fun,
activity based lessons.
