Master the art of drawing eyes, noses, mouths, and hair! The course will begin with a brief review of drawing principles and then introduce techniques for drawing one facial feature at a time. We will focus on scale, proportion, value, shading, and achieving an accurate likeness. With plenty of practice, students will be ready to complete an expressive self-portrait at the end of the semester.  Students will need an 8x10 or 9x12 sketchbook and a set of skin-tone-colored pencils. This class fulfills one semester of high school fine art requirements.
