Health is a semester-long class designed to build students’ knowledge related to how they are fearfully and wonderfully made. They will understand concepts in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and first aid. They will apply this body of information to develop the skill of making choices that meet their needs and optimize their time as well as enable them to help others. The focus of class time is on the introduction to the material, outdoor participation on healthy motion, healthy mind and discussions on application of concepts. Recommended water bottle and comfy shoes for walking the track every other week. Outside study time: one to three hours.
