Think Like a Lawyer, teacher: Carla R. Kralovic, Esq.
Suggested text: TBD
Supply fee: $5
In this course we will use real-life cases to develop your student’s ability to deconstruct and analyze facts and then use those facts alongside applicable legal principles to create persuasive arguments. We will also hone your student’s oral advocacy skills through both informal and formal class discussions. Through this process your student will learn that ambiguity is everywhere, there is always more than one side to a story and that no facts should be taken for granted. The curriculum for this course is standards based and this can be used as ELA so long as your student is completing all of the assigned coursework. Alternatively, you can treat the class as an elective.
