It begins with a study of the Earth’s basic structure, allowing students to explore the physical and chemical properties of minerals and rocks. Additional topics include plate tectonics, fossils and the fossil record, geology and the Earth’s hydrosphere, as well as oceans, climate, and weather, all culminating in a look at our vast solar system. This is a physical science course that includes both in-class and at-home labs.
