This course is designed to give the students a basic understanding of economics as well as a good foundation
on how to start and run a small business. Students will learn the study of economics blended with
entrepreneurial principles. They will have a practical understanding of economics as it applies to small
business, as well a traditional understanding of economics as it applies to our national and global economy.
Books include Abeka’s Economics Work & Prosperity (3rd Edition) and Starting A Micro Business and Running a
Micro Business by Carol Topp (2 small books). This is a one semester class.
